2010 RACE MAP
The 21st Annual BNA Bank Tallahatchie River Run 5K and ½ mile
Fun Run will be held Saturday, September 25 in coordination with
the Tallahatchie RiverFest in downtown New Albany.
“We are excited about this year’s run,” remarked race
coordinator Amanda Kent. “Last year, even though we had very
stormy weather early on race morning, we had a record breaking
400+ runners participate in the race!”
RUNNER INFORMATION:
Race Shirts and packets will be available for pick up the
WEDNESDAY prior to the race at BNA Bank on 133 East Bankhead
Street, New Albany, MS. Or you may pick up your race packet and
shirt before 8 a.m. on race day at the registration tent on the
Union County Courthouse lawn.
****NEW CHRONOTRACK D-TAG SYSTEM THIS YEAR*****
Attention! The Chronontrack D-TAG System is being used to time
our race! In order to receive accurate timing results, be sure
to follow the instructions attached to your D-TAG. Your D-TAG,
instructions and race number will be in your race packet! DO NOT
LOSE IT.
The Fun Run will begin at 8:00 a.m. in front of BNA Bank (133
East Bankhead Street) No D-tags or timing for the Fun Run. All
participants receive a medal and a shirt.
The 5K will begin on the Tallahatchie River Bridge at 8:30 a.m.
Race refreshments will be served near the finish line in front
of BNA Bank.
After the race, runners can join the festivities around the
Courthouse lawn for the Tallahatchie RiverFest. This event,
celebrating the visual, literary, and performing arts, features
a variety of local, regional and national entertainment.
Activities and entertainment for all ages will be free to
attendees. An estimated 8-10,000 people attended the 2009
festival. Be sure to plan to stay for the FREE evening concert
featuring Mississippi’s own Marty Stuart and the Fabulous
Superlatives!
