Mike Alef has been named Senior Vice President, Insurance and Investments. He is a graduate of Tupelo High School and received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Mississippi. Mike is licensed as a General Securities Representative and holds a Series 7 designation. He is also licensed as an Investment Advisor Representative and holds a Series 65 designation. Mike is a member of the New Albany Rotary Club, where he serves as secretary/treasurer. He serves on the Board of Directors of UNITE, as secretary and board member for the New Albany Bulldog Athletic Foundation and is active with the Union County Leadership Academy. Mike is a past president of the Dean Provence Endowment for Excellence in Education. As a member of First United Methodist Church, he has served on the Administrative Board and as a member of the finance committee. Mike and his wife, Anita, have three children: Emily Carol, Riley, and Martha Vance.
Hugh Tate has been named Senior Vice President, Loans. He is a graduate of Myrtle High School and received a Bachelor of Arts in Education and a Masters in Administration and Supervision from the University of Mississippi. Hugh is also a graduate of the Mid South School of Banking at the University of Memphis. He has served as president of the Mississippi Young Bankers Association and the Northeast Mississippi Community College Alumni Council. Currently, Hugh serves on the Advisory Council for the Union County 4-H. A member of Myrtle United Methodist Church, he serves as a member of the administrative council, PPR, Finance Committee and as a lay delegate to the Mississippi Annual Conference. Hugh and his wife Diane are both active members of the Union County Development Association and the New Albany Main Street Association. They have two children, John Hugh and Josh, and two grandchildren.
Morgan Akins has been named Assistant Vice President, Operations. A Ripley High School graduate, Morgan received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Banking and Finance from Mississippi State University. He is also a 2007 graduate of the Ole Miss School of Banking. Morgan is a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church and the New Albany Kiwanis Club. He and his wife, Leigh, have one daughter: Emma.
Amanda Kent has been named Assistant Vice President, Marketing. She is a 1994 graduate of East Webster High School in Cumberland, Mississippi and graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication with an emphasis in public relations. Amanda is also a graduate of the American Banker’s Association School of Bank Marketing and Management. Amanda is a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and the New Albany Kiwanis club where she has served as a board member. She and her husband, Jonathan, have two daughters: Lexie and Landry.
D’Ann Tanner has been named Assistant Vice President, Collections. She is a graduate of Myrtle High School and attended South Florida Community College and Itawamba Community College. D’Ann and her husband Harold have two children: Kyle and Kellan. She is a member of West Tallahatchie Baptist Church where she serves as a Sunday school teacher.
