Recognizing that our most precious resource is our children, and realizing that the need to educate them to their fullest potential is of utmost importance not only to our community but to our state and nation as well, in 2010 BNA Bank established the BNA Bank Lee County “Money for Books” $500 award for deserving seniors who plan to attend college in Mississippi. The winners were drawn at random this month and presented a certificate. A minimum of three students from the said high school were required to enter before an award could be given at that particular high school.
The 2013 Winners are:
TUPELO HIGH SCHOOL: Alleysiah Williams, daughter of Brandi Williams
SALTILLO HIGH SCHOOL: Katherine Cagle, daughter of Greg and Amanda Cagle
MOOREVILLE HIGH SCHOOL: Kelton Kingsley, son of Sherry Kingsley
SHANNON HIGH SCHOOL: Jasmeka Foster, daughter of Fredrick and Teresa Garmon
TUPELO CHRISTIAN PREPARATORY SCHOOL: Ben Warnick, son of Lori Warnick
All Lee County graduating high school seniors who attend school in Lee County and plan to attend college in Mississippi were eligible to enter. The seniors entered by bringing a copy of their report card each reporting period to BNA Bank at 3041 McCullough Boulevard in Belden. An entry in the drawing was given for every A on the student’s report card that period. The students were eligible to come every report card period and submit an entry for every A until the last Friday in March.
